Inspiration highland cow art

Some of my highland cow paintings are inspired by a visit to the lovely village of Eynsford in Kent. There is a field near the village with a deep brook (stream) running through. A small herd highland cows graze in the field and use the deep clear stream to cool off.

This herd of highland cows has provided inspiration for several highland cow paintings.

Highland cows are a lot of fun to paint in watercolour the medium is perfect for capturing, there long shaggy coats, and their long horns give character. Highland cows can look quite tough, but they are in fact quite docile and intelligent animals.

• Prints are wrapped in bubble wrap, mailed in a tough envelope reinforced with cardboard.

• Frames are high quality and are made in the United Kingdom.

• Ready to hang, hanging brackets fixed to the back of frame to hang landscape or portrait orientation.
• White frames, natural solid wood frame with a white finish.
• Oak frames are natural solid oak.
• Frames fitted with 2mm Perspex glass and an MDF back.
