Greenwich park London painting inspiration

Greenwich park is one of my favourite places to paint London. This view of Greenwich is the outlook by the statue of General James Wolfe by the Royal Observatory. The view is amazing with the light always changing the atmosphere and mood of the scene. I really enjoy painting this view of Greenwich.

A lovely view of Greenwich and the city skyline and always a pleasure to paint.

About 25 years ago the buildings in the background of the painting, Canary Wharf were not constructed, to is only over the last ten to twenty years that tall buildings have really started to appear and have a dramatic impact on the London skyline.
